I mean, no, but I think it’s a pretty shitty look when staff delete threads they don’t like with no explanation or even a note. “hey man you started a shitstorm so we deleted it” would suffice. That shit wouldn’t fly on the nation-wide car forum I’m on the mod staff for.

FYI, you can also send your post back/forward if you wanted to schedule things. Kinja apparently doesn’t give a shit what year you would like to post an article in. I think there’s a handful of stuff in the drafts folder set for future postings.

I think I know what/who you’re talking about... I lost what I thought was becoming a constructive thread from another post due to the same issue. I’m not gonna say I agree with someone’s politics or logic when I most certainly don’t, but some people I disagree with are worth talking to, and I was denied th at opportunity.

Believe it or not we actually can’t delete posts, not outright anyway. If a post is brewing a shitstorm we can either send it back in time to prevent more people from running into the car crash or send it to the OP’s drafts folder.
